HICSS46 - minitrack on IS for Emergency Management CFP


The 46rd Hawaii International Conference on System Sciences will be held 4-7 January 2013 in The Grand Wailea Resort, Maui, Hawaii.  The conference is hosting a mini-track on Communication and Information Systems Technology for Emergency Management.

This mini-track provides a venue for systemic and holistic issues related to all phases in the disaster management cycle: prevention and mitigation; preparedness; alert; response; recovery; and post disaster. Papers that address advancing any of these aspects through technical, organizational, or behavioral change are encouraged. These may include simulation studies, case-based research, empirical studies, and other applications of quantitative and qualitative methods.

The submission date for the conference is June 15th, 2012. You may send an early abstract or paper proposal before then to to ensure that the topic fits the call.
