PhD Colloquium at ISCRAM2007: Call for Applications

ISCRAM 2007 - Intelligent Human Computer Systems for Crisis Response and Management

CALL FOR APPLICATIONS for the PhD Colloquium at ISCRAM2007

The goal of the Ph.D. Student Colloquium of the ISCRAM 2007 conference is to develop and sustain a network of young scholars working in the area of Information Systems for crisis response and management. The one-day colloquium links current Ph.D. students to each other and to senior researchers. Students will be given the opportunity to discuss their research interests with other students and with senior researchers. The Colloquium thus provides an opportunity for students to refine and focus their thesis research based on input from all colloquium participants.

Students are expected to play an active role in the colloquium. During the ISCRAM conference itself, there will be a poster session of the Colloquium PhD studentsí research work. Please prepare your poster and bring it with you to the colloquium on the 13th May. Refreshments will be provided during the colloquium.

The colloquium will be held in Delft in The Netherlands on the 13th May 2007. The ISCRAM conference itself will take place from the 13th to 16th of May 2007.

Participation is via application only, and the number of participants is limited. Summary thesis proposals submitted as part of the application package will be the focus of discussions during the colloquium. Students who submit papers to the ISCRAM conference itself (and who are named as first author) will be eligible for the Mike Meleshkin Award for best PhD Student paper.
